Sorry, Toni! That’s the last bug photo (at least for this round). I’m in love with my macro setting—my love of tiny wonders, I guess. Jim wonders why bugs don’t bother me but little fishies do. I dunno… seems kinda Freudian, huh?

It’s a golden silk spider. Some folks call them “banana spiders,” but that’s just a nick-name I suppose because of their long yellow bodies. The real banana spiders are poisonous and live in South America. They hide in banana trees and bite unsuspecting fruit pickers. These gals are harmless and they are definitely not hidden! Though I wouldn’t want one ON me, they sure are lovely to look at.
